Harry E. Hobson is the President and CEO of Plymouth Harbor on Sarasota Bay, a Life Plan Community. Harry’s career has included work in both Hospital and Retirement Community Administration. He received Masters Degrees in Business Management and Healthcare Administration from Central Michigan University, and completed gerontological studies at George Washington University. He holds Nursing Home Administrator licenses in both Ohio and Florida.
Harry is currently a professor at LECOM University where he teaches graduate-level courses in Long-Term Care Management and Policy. He has also held adjunct faculty positions in both the Fisher College of Business and the College of Public Health at The Ohio State University where he lectured on Executive Leadership and Long-Term Care Policy, respectively.
Harry has been recognized for his commitment to older adult services by the Ohio Senate and House of Representatives. More recently, he was awarded The Executive of the Year Award for the State of Florida by LeadingAge, which is the professional association representing the long-term care industry.
